ERP

As stated in the Rules, ERP is not the focus of the server, but it is allowed and protected under specific circumstances.. Do your job as it is required before disappearing to do a scene with someone. If a situation arises and you're in the middle of the scene but also the only person who can deal with it, drop the scene to fix the problem and then pick it back up later. There are three kinds of areas related to the allowance of ERP; Private, Secluded and Public.

   --Private areas are protected. This means that scenes may take place in these areas without interruption unless said interruption has a very good reason. Private areas are defined as any area that can be bolted, has no typical IC use and does not have any cameras. The dormitories and their holodecks are examples of Private areas. RP IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ERP AND NOT DOING YOUR JOB IS A PERFECTLY GOOD REASON FOR SOMEONE TO INTERRUPT YOUR SCENE.
   --Secluded areas are semi-protected. ERP taking place in a secluded area may be interrupted by someone with access to that area or if someone happens to witness it, if they feel that they should; if you get caught here (including by camera, such as by the AI), you're likely to be asked to move it somewhere private. Secluded areas are places that require specific access to reach, may have closed privacy shutters or tinted windows, and have cameras. The psych office with its windows tinted, the kitchen with its shutters down, and hidden maintenance rooms are examples of secluded areas. If a character is witnessed performing heinous acts or if there is evidence of such acts in a secluded area (such as bloody clothing or weapons, dismembered limbs or a corpse), it is to be treated as a public area for the purpose of interaction.
   --Public areas are not protected. Anybody can (and probably should) roleplay intervention on a scene taking place in an a public area. If a player happens across one of these and don't want to interrupt but also don't want to see it, that player should use LOOC to ask them to move. Hallways, the bar, the elevator, the tram station and any place that can be reached by a Visitor without breaking regulations are public areas.
   --Bolting a door to a public area or disabling its cameras does not make an area secluded or private, it will just annoy the engineers and make officers curious.
